What do you do when you find 3-eyed ducklings and grebes with no feet?  You create a solution to solve the problem.

It all started in the 1980’s when Kesterson Reservoir (Refuge) (located in the San Joaquin Valley of California) had a major issue with excessively high levels of Selenium, causing deformities in waterfowl.  From 1984-1986, the hunt to remove Selenium began with a patent on a process to remove Selenium from salts, which were a byproduct of co-generation power plants.  During the mid-1990’s in a garage, Sulfur Modified Iron (SMI) was born to solve/remove contaminants (Selenium, Arsenic, Hexavalent Chromium and Nitrates) from drinking water.

In the early 2000’s, SeleniumZero® was developed for the waste water/reclamation fields.  Sales continue to grow since our first customer in 2010.  Today, our company is cleaning water in the Coal Industry, Oil Industry  and Drinking Water Industry.  We are an environmentally sound company,  with a fully recyclable product.

Production Capacity now exceeds 500,000/lbs. per year, and an increase in demand can be accommodated as necessary.
